Typography

Typography is the art and techniques of arranging type, type design and modifying type glyphs.
Good typography is not only clear and legible but easy and pleasant to read, typographers achieve this by selecting the right fonts, lettering and print types.
Typography includes greeting cards, books, posters, newspapers and since digitisation, typography has spread to a wider range of applications, appearing on web pages, LCD mobile phone screens and hand-held video games, because of this typographers have coined the phrase "type is everywhere".

The anz bank was easy to navigate and fulfilled it's purpose, allowing people to do online banking

and apply for different cards e.g debit or credit, it's easy to use no matter what age you are.

Designer

The purpose of the mecano site was to show viewers what their company can
and have done with internet sites. The site is simple yet appealing, easy to
navigate and works in bringing the viewer in for a closer look.

Young Product

The slate site is a pretty ordinary site providing information about the
product and the company itself but the site doesn't just provide info
it gives the viewer a sense of actually trying the product with visuals
and information on the taste of the product.

The cartoonnetwork site is a great site for kids with colours, music, games and episodes
of their favourite shows to watch. There is lots to keep kids entertained on the site for hours.

The porsche site is an excellent site for any porsche lover, there is specifications
on all there cars, news on upcoming events, easy navigation and an online porsche
builder for those that wish to see a porsche the way they like it before they buy it
including colour changes interior changes.

The nickelback site is a simple yet effective site, it's not crowded by links or ad's

The Rule of Thirds

The basic principle of the Rule of Thirds is to imagine breaking an image down into thirds (both horizontally and vertically) so you have 9 parts.



Studies have shown that when viewing images, peoples eyes usually go to one of the intersection points most naturally rather then the center of the shot, the Rule of thirds works with the natural way of viewing.



Using the rule of thirds images tend to get personality and a sense of movement or an attention grabbing point. When not using the rule of thirds you may still get a good image but the image may seem static and not as appealing.
